This is a recreation of a worn MKII Hand Grenade used mainly by the US Army. The Mk 2 grenade was used by Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, Philippines, and the United States from 1918 to the 1960’s. There were many reference images used to create this model, and it was done with the help of Tim Bergholtz and his free grenade tutorial.
In the end, my low-poly model ended up less than half of the polygons that the teachers model had. However, due to baking issues with some of the text floating geometry in my model, I decided to use Tim’s model for the texturing process.
