Glow Sharks Of Ganymede3D Model
This is my entry to the Animal Family Challenge lowpoly contest! Rather then create a scene with specific, real animal species, I decided to do something a little more creative!
Jupiter’s moon Ganymede is postulated to have a subsurface salt water ocean. Some speculation has been made that this ocean could be home to aquatic life. For my entry to this challenge I created a mother shark and her pup, but not just any sharks – these are the Glow Sharks of Ganymede!
For aesthetic purposes I created a crater in the surface ice of the moon so that jupiter and the stars could be seen, but in reality Ganymede has about 25km of surface ice, meaning the ocean underneath would be very dark - any animals below would likely evolve to have some form of bioluminesence, thus, these Glow Sharks! :D
Sharks are my favorite animal and I’ve always imagined it would be really cool if they happen to find something similar to sharks in other places in the solar system.
Created entirely in Blender, 4045 triangles.
