More model informationHead lamp with oval model forms from the 1st century AD. The upper half of the model has the shape of a head. The curly, falling hair is partially covered by a cloth. The lower half of the model is intended for the production of the bottom plate and has semicircular arches which are offset from each other by inserted rods. In the middle of the floor the stamp PVR. Ceramics; 9,3 x 6,3 cm.
The use of clay models has simplified the manufacturing process of lamps and allowed mass production.
