More model informationA multi-faced sundial in the churchyard of St Marys Church, Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, UK.
This sundial (one of two at this location) is thought to date back to the mid 16th century, it is both a fine example and one of the earliest survivors of its type. The sundial is carved from limestone. There have been various restorations, the most recent was in 1971 when the gnomons were replaced. On the north side is carved the coat of arms of the Savage family.
