More model informationThe Newgrange Corbel (Co.1/C2) is a stone dating from the Neolithic, located within the passage grave (ME019-045----) at Newgrange, Brú na Bóinne, Co. Meath, Ireland. Corbel Co.2 is located on the south side of the west recess. It is decorated with diamonds created in relief, as well as a chevron motif - both patterns seen across the corpus of decorated stones from Newgrange. These motifs were “pecked” into the stone using a sharp implement, possibly flint or quartz. Later graffiti can also be seen on the stone’s surface.
