More model informationThis late Neolithic macehead was found lodged on the prong of a harrow after harrowing a field at Wasdale, Mainland, Orkney in the 1970s or earlier.
This macehead is quite broad for a cushion type, but the domed faces and taper towards the edges are typical of the form. Both ends are heavily battered from use, which significantly alters the original form.
