Conquest tombstone, found in Stanix, Carlisle.
The conquest stone motif is a popular and well known image. It was used as Roman propaganda and depicts a Roman Calvary man riding over the body of a defeated native Briton.
This object is on loan from Senhouse Museum and is currently on display in the Border Gallery at Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery Trust
