More model informationThis was a quick experiment converting high poly scans into low poly objects. No fancy retopologizing, just quick and dirty decimation.
I am especially interested in the forms produced by the trees and vegetation.
Using MeshLab:
- Quadric Edge Collapse Decimation with Texture ( 2.7M → 10k faces )
- Transfer Color: Texture → Vertex
- Transfer Color: Vertex → Face
- Smooth: Laplacian Face Color
- Transfer Color: Face → Vertex
This leaves me with a solid color on every face. I duplicated all vertex normals for hard edges, and exported as VRML.
