EN: Set of 5 crucibles with triangular rim and round bottom, which fit together; likely produced in the Hessen region (Großalmerode) in Germany. Dimensions largest crucible: diam. bottom 3.8 cm, height 8.8 cm, smallest one: diam. bottom 1.5 cm, height 3.8 cm. Kept at the Dutch National Maritime Archaeological Depot at Museum Batavialand. Originating from shipwreck Scheurrak T24-I, aka the crucible wreck, a merchantman lost in the Dutch Wadden Sea in the 17th C. Gifted by diver Hans Eelman.

NL: Set van 5 in elkaar passende smeltkroezen met driehoekige rand en ronde bodem; verm. gemaakt in de regio Hessen. Afm. grootste smeltkroes: diam. bodem 3.8 cm, hoogte 8.8 cm, de kleinste: diam. bodem 1.5 cm, hoogte 3.8 cm. Nationaal Scheepsarcheologisch Depot, Museum Batavialand. Afkomstig van scheepswrak Scheurrak T24-I, alias het smeltkroezenwrak, een fluitachtig koopvaardijschip vergaan in de 17de eeuw in de Waddenzee. Geschonken door duiker Hans Eelman.
