EN: A small personal wooden chest with decorated lid. Found with its contents intact, see: https://www.collectienederland.nl/search/?page=1&q=SO1-8501. Based on this it was nicknamed the ‘sailmaker’s chest’. Dimensions: length 39,5 cm, width 15,5 cm, height 22 cm. Kept at the Dutch National Maritime Archaeological Depot at Museum Batavialand. Excavated from shipwreck Scheurrak SO1, a merchant vessel found in the Dutch Wadden Sea near Texel, the Netherlands. Wreck date: 1593.

NL: Een persoonlijk houten kistje met versierd deksel. Oorspr. aangetroffen met inhoud, zie de link hierboven. Op basis hiervan heeft het de bijnaam het ‘zeilmakerskistje’ gekregen. Afmetingen: lengte 39,5 cm, breedte 15,5, hoogte 22 cm. Nationaal Scheepsarcheologisch Depot, Museum Batavialand. Afkomstig van wrak Scheurrak SO1, ondergangsdatering: 1593.
