More model informationThis colossal foot from a Roman statue is in the British Museum’s Enlightenment Room. It dates to the 1st to 2nd Century A.D. and was found near Naples, Itally. It was donated to the British Museum by Sir William Hamilton in 1784. It was 3D scanned with a Structure scanner attached to an iPad Mini 4. The scan itself is not of high resolution so in this case the scanner was used to create what amounts to a 3D photograph.
