More model informationThis could be the Bow of HMS Cato, an Auk/Catherine class minesweeper that sank on the 6th July 1944 with the loss of 25 lives. This is the only recognisable remains of the wreck. The distinctive bow matched the plans of the American built ship that would have been 67m long overall and a complement of 100. Attacked while at anchor she took 2 hours to sink and was nearly saved had the tugs arrived in time. She was struck amidships by a German human Torpedo at 05.11.
