Epitafio de Cayo Atilio Áquilo (siglo I d. C.)3D Model
Two joining fragments -found separately- of the inscription from a monument dedicated to C. Atilius Aquilus by Cornelia Placida. The left side was reused to build the external wall of the medieval tower at Sofuentes (Zaragoza, Spain). The right fragment was reused at a private property beside the tower. It was probably at the centre of a majestic funerary monument with armours. It can be dated to the 1st century AD and interpreted as a symbol of the power of the Atilii in the area.
