EN: A very large potsherd, part of an olive jar from Montelupo (Italy). One of the indicators that the wreck in which it was found likely participated in the Mediterranean trade. Dimensions: length 37 cm, width 30 cm. Kept at the Dutch National Maritime Archaeological Depot at Museum Batavialand. Excavated from shipwreck Burgzand Noord 14, nicknamed the ‘Potters wreck’, found in the Dutch Wadden Sea near the island of Texel, the Netherlands. Wreck date: 2nd half 17th century.

NL: Zeer grote scherf van een olijfpot uit Montelupo (Italië). Één van de aanwijzingen dat het wrak waarin het werd gevonden waarschijnlijk een Straatvaarder was handelend in het Middellandse Zeegebied. Afmetingen: lengte 37 cm, breedte 30 cm. Nationaal Scheepsarcheologisch Depot, Museum Batavialand. Afkomstig van wrak Burgzand Noord 14, bijgenaamd het Potterwrak, ondergangsdatering: tweede helft 17de eeuw.
