Kerbstone 22 is a decorated stone dating from the Neolithic, located on the outer edge of the largest megalithic tomb at Knowth, Co. Meath, Ireland (ME019-030001-). It is made of sandstone and decorated with motifs “pecked” into the surface using a sharp implement, possibly flint or quartz. The carvings along the top of the stone are very weathered. The stone appears to have been carved in two stages. The first stage consists of lightly pecked concentric circles and arcs. The two large concentric gapped circles were added later. Below and enclosing the two sets of circles are broad arcs running right across the stone.
