More model informationThe imperial throne in the Saint Laurentius church of Ename, Flanders, has been reconstructed based upon the archaeological excavation (in which presumed foundation blocks of this throne have been found) and restoration of the blind niches. The reconstruction of the throne itself is based upon the throne of Charlemagne in Aachen and the excavated throne of Mainz, with the hypothesis that the thin marble slabs were replaced by thicker red sandstone slabs from Germany.
