EN: A late 16th century leather boot with incised decorations. Note that the outsole was added during restoration. Dimensions: lenght 25 cm, width 9.5 cm, height 11 cm. Kept at the Dutch National Maritime Archaeological Depot at Museum Batavialand. Excavated from shipwreck Scheurrak SO1, a merchant vessel found in the Dutch Wadden Sea near Texel, the Netherlands. Wreck date: 1593.

NL: Een laat 16de-eeuwse leren schoen met gesneden versieringen. De loopzool is toegevoegd bij restauratie. Afmetingen: lengte 25 cm, breedte 9,5 cm, hoogte 11 cm.
