Netheravon collared urn (Early Bronze Age)
The Netheravon collared urn is an unusually large Early Bronze Age vessel (approx. 0.5 m in height) that was found at Netheravon, Wiltshire, UK on Minister of Defence (MOD) land. Netheravon is situated on the Salisbury Plain approx. 6 km north of Stonehenge. The area was further excavated by Wessex Archaeology in conjunction with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DOI) and the volunteers of Operation Nightingale. The urn was reconstructed in the lab at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre and this is a photogrammetric model based on their reconstruction. After specialists have had an opportunity to analyse it, the urn will be returned to the Wiltshire Museum in Devizes.
Photogrammetry by Kenneth Lymer.
