More model informationThis fragment of a sculpted dragon-like creature has been crafted in medium-grained sandstone. It is badly damaged, with one side and the upper part of the stone apparently cut away, suggesting the stone has been re-used at some point.
Part of a head remains which resembles a lion, and the stone below has been textured to represent scales. What appears to be the creature’s tail curls over on one side of the head. This was once a part of Melrose Abbey, created in around the 1200s.
