Nevermind the specified field of view, what is the true FOV of your VR system? Teleport to the centre of this model and count the pillars. they are spaced at 10 degree intervals, each one being 5 degrees in diameter with a 5 degree space. Align the left edge of a pillar on the left of your FOV. Remeber 10 degree intervals are from left edge to left edge. The result does not only depend on the VR system, but on your head anatomy, which will determine how far the lenses are from your eyes. I knew that with the Dell Visor I was not seeing the quoted 105 degrees, but on this test I am only seeing 65 degrees (horizontal, though since it is circular it makes little difference). This may just be my head shape, so pleae comment with your results and which VR system you are using. The Acer AH101 gives me about 75 degrees; better, but not 105. Thanks to Alex Cresswell-Boyes for creating the model for me.
