The site of Cosa, located in southern Tuscany, about 150 km (about 90 miles) north of Rome, is an important archaeological site for Roman architecture and urban planning. In 2013, a project to excavate the bath complex of Cosa was begun and in 2016, the hot rooms of bath were uncovered, including a small, shallow pool (the apsidal feature in the center of the model).
