The Scrovegni Chapel, also known as the Arena Chapel because of the nearby Ancient Roman arena.
The chapel is known for its impressive cycle of frescoes painted by Giotto, a Florentine painter and architect.
Nearly every interior surface of the chapel is covered in frescoes, depicting “The Life of Christ” and “The Life of the Virgin”.
The large counter-facade, above the doorway, includes a depiction of Hell clearly inspired by The Divine Comedy of Dante.

Good evening; I'm an Art History teacher; I'd like to get the model in order to make an escape room; Could I have the download? Thanks
Hi Matthew,
I am a student media-art and I'm working on an audiovisual art piece around a story based on the murals of the chapel.
I was hoping I could use your model for this piece, it would save me so much time!
Could you let me know if I can use it? and, if you agree, send me the files?
Thanks in advance
Simon
Matthew, hello! I teach art history in virtual space (VR-glasses). Could you please give me your excellent model for teaching purposes? Thank.
We featured this model on the Sketchfab community blog in '3D Technologies in the Art History Classroom'!

Hi @garymartin - You are welcome to use this model in any educational/non-profit manner. Because it is a model of an important cultural heritage object, I will never sell the model, but it will always be here available on sketchfab or another medium for free use and sharing.
This is great! I am an art teacher from the Netherlands. I can use this in my class on the Renaissance period. Thank you!
I don't recall if I've said this already somewhere else, but could you set the VR parameters so that, when I click the VR button, I see this at the proper scale, with a correct eye level, and from inside the building? As it is now, I can make adjustments when I load it in VR, but I'm just guessing as to the scale. Thanks.
Thank you!!!
You are on a truly impressive mission.
@knoops Thank you! The process is called photogrammetry and it's become quite popular and accessible in the past 2-3 years. Here's a introductory tutorial I wrote for Sketchfab a while ago - it focuses on UAVs/drones, but the fundamentals are the same if you are using a hand-held camera (or even a smartphone): blog.sketchfab.com/uavdrone-survey-with-...
Simply amazing!!!
The world would benefit from a tutorial!
Can one be found?
In awe
