Sgeir nam Portan - Summer 2022

Sgeir nam Portan means ‘Skerry of the Crabs’. it is a headland close to the outflow of the Roe Glas on South Uist asnd has been noted for some exposed areas of prehistoric ground for several years now.

The area is being forensically explored, surveyed and recorded next month, when, hopefully, much more information about Uist’s past will be learned.
