The Siwalima Museum (MAHS-IDN-COL-004) in Ambon is the provincial museum of Maluku, Indonesia. It houses a unique collection of artifacts originating from the diverse ethnic groups of eastern Indonesia.

The Museum Siwalima has granted permission for the MAHS Indonesia Field Team to digitize and publish select objects from the collection.

The Maritime Asia Heritage Survey (MAHS) digitally documents endangered historical and archaeological heritage across the watery world of coastal and island Southern Asia. The MAHS is based at Kyoto University’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) under the direction of Professor R. Michael Feener.

For open-access to our complete dataset of archaeological sites and historical artifacts from the Maldives and other countries of the region, please visit us at: maritimeasiaheritage.cseas.kyoto-u.ac.jp
