The Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Collections is implementing improvements and tactics to actively engage students and encourage innovative learning and knowledge sharing. This fully downloadable 3D collection, developed by Lori Collins, Ph.D., Travis Doering, Ph.D., Jorge Gonzalez, Lead 3D Specialist, and Noelia Garcia, 3D Specialist, features significant biological specimens that are complete with annotations, optimized for use with Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR and AR), and can be 3D printed, downloaded, embedded to course websites, and freely shared. These resources can be easily integrated into the classroom to facilitate new methods of teaching, interaction, and learning.
