In 2022, approval was granted by the Directorate-General of Antiquities & Museums (DGAM) in Syria for the investigation of a fascinating collection of archaeological human remains. These remains, which originate from various archaeological sites in Syria spanning the Hellenistic to Byzantine periods, were meticulously 3D modeled through photogrammetry before undergoing paleoproteomic, isotope, and radiocarbon analyses. This research is an integral part of a project led by Dr. Kévin Salesse from Masaryk University and Dr. Houmam Saad fromt the DGAM, aimed at shedding light on the historical significance of these remains
