Segmented surfaces of digital costumes 3D Models
The 3D models present segmented surfaces of digital twins of historical costumes. The initial surfaces which were generated by using computer simulations in Clo software is shown on the left. The segments of the surfaces are shown on the right. Those represent areas controlled by parameters that are chosen subjectively divided into three categories, seams, edges and surfaces. The models aim to indicate uncertain areas of the garment resulting from limitations inherent to computer simulations.
The original digital twins are available at skfb.ly/oyEwA
The authors of the 3D models are Aleksei Moskvin and Mariia Moskvina, Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
The authors thank prof. Victor Kuzmichev and the team from Ivanovo State Polytechnic University for providing data required for 3D modelling.
