The first test to see if photogrammetry has the potential to replace hand-drawn maps for terrestrial archaeology. Considering the depth and conditions, I was surprised that this model turned out at all.
The unit was much deeper than I anticipated and I now have a much better idea of what I would need to do this next time. I would need:
- A tent that isn’t opaque (so it can act as a light tent).
- A camera that has remote functionality.
- A bicycle camera mount and a bit of PVC to make photographing much easier.
