This furniture collection consists of handmade pieces crafted by the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. The documentation of President Carter's woodworking and craftsmanship is part of a 3D archival program conducted by Drs. Lori Collins and Travis Doering, Principal Investigators, Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Information at the University of South Florida in collaboration with the Carter Family, the National Park Service, and the Friends of the Jimmy Carter. Many of the pieces in this collection originate from the Carter home in Plains, Georgia.
