Í kjölfar jarðhræringa á Reykjanesskaga á síðasta ári fóru starfsmenn Minjastofnunar og NIKU (Norsk institutt for kulturminneforskning) á þrjá friðlýsta minjastaði með það að markmiði að búa til þrívíddarlíkön af stöðunum. Þessir staðir voru Húshólmi og Selatangar og útilegumannabyrgin í Sundvörðuhrauni. Verkefnið var frumraun Minjastofnunar í gerð þrívíddarlíkana en í framtíðinni er stefnt að því að vinna fleiri slík líkön af menningarminjum af ýmsu tagi.

Following earthquakes in the Reykjanes peninsula in 2021, employees of the Cultural Heritage Agency of Iceland and NIKU (Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research) visited three scheduled monument sites with the aim of creating three-dimensional models of each site. These places were Húshólmi and Selatangar, by the south coast, and an outlaw encampment in Sundvörðuhraun near Eldvörp. The project was the Agency’s debut in the creation of three-dimensional models.
